Hey, it's Shelby and Paul here. We are walking you through the book of Exodus. Today we're in

chapters 24 through 26 and we started getting into some really detailed descriptions of the

tabernacle and its contents. There's like loops and clasps and curtains.

Oh my. Yes. So Paul, let's dive into these chapters. What do we need to know? Yeah, I want to point us to

the study's first reflection question, actually. And if you don't have the study, it basically asks,

why is it important to remember that God wants to have a relationship with us and what happens

when we forget that truth? And I think I kind of have a personal answer to this myself.

And honestly, it was really in college. I was going through the season

where just really struggling with habitual sin and just honestly like going back again and again and

again. And there were a lot of days when I honestly found myself believing, I'm not good enough

for God. He is giving up on me and I've just done this thing

one too many times and God doesn't want me anymore, right? But then I actually had a mentor of mine

really walk me through the prodigal son narrative. And in that story, we see, you know, that God wants to be in relationship with us, no matter what we've done.

No matter what.

He loves us, right?

And so I think, you know, it's something that Israelites, right, they really doubt God a lot.

And they obviously disobey a lot. And yet God continually

pursues them and he gives them the super specific way to be with them. And I think even in the

midst of all these details, it's important remember that God wants to be with them. That's the core thing to

remember. And so I think for me, like in that season, just remembering that God was with me, even in my sin, was a big turning point for me and being able to come to God even whenever I wasn't measuring up.

Yeah.

And I think that's a great perspective to have, even as we continue, because we'll kind of be going through this for a little while here,
