Boy, there is just a feeling going on out there.

In my fandom, in my friendoms, and in the world,

I think maybe the world feels like it's just about to boil over. It's very funny. I heard all these things for a watched pot and how you're never supposed to watch them, but then also

the overboiling, and if you put a wooden spoon on top, and also maybe some salt or olive oil

in the water first. But at the end of the day, when it comes to a watch pot or an unwatched pot,

when we think that boiling is increasing when we think that boil over might happen,

well, we think of the hiss, we think of the steam, we think of all the trouble that could be

caused and how we want to stop it. Of course, when you're boiling water, you have control.

And when it's other people in the world, you surely do not.

So however tempting it is to want to try and fix everything or solve it all, says a man

who desperately feels those impulses.

Allow me to say that I have taken a great deal of pleasure and solace in just trying to

keep this little bit of pleasure going for the rest of you.
