0:37.4	Hey everyone, today we're going to talk a little bit more about the crest connection between
0:42.1	Genesis 49 and Revelation 5-5. But before we do that, will you give us a little bit more context
0:48.7	for Revelation 5-5, Beth? Yes. Today in our study, we were actually asked to read all of Revelation 5. So this
0:56.7	is helpful for giving us more context for this verse. Here we see that John has been given a vision of
1:02.2	the heavenly throne and that there is a sealed scroll that contains a message of final judgment for
1:07.6	the wicked and salvation for God's people. But nobody can open that scroll. And
1:13.1	because nobody can open it, John weeps. He's devastated from that. And that's where our verse from
1:20.0	Revelation 5-5 comes in, right? Yes, exactly. So the verse starts with Jesus is able to open the scroll
1:26.9	because he is the promised ruler of all the nations.
1:30.7	He is the lion of Judah and the ruler of all things.
1:34.1	Yeah, I love seeing all of this come together.
1:37.8	So why is Jesus this promised ruler able to open the scroll?
1:43.2	Yeah, we actually studied the verse that answers that
1:45.7	question a couple weeks ago in Revelation 5.9. We see that Jesus is able to open the scroll
