0:38.3	Hey everyone, today we are going to go a little deeper into the passage that we looked at and annotated yesterday, Genesis 315.
0:46.3	That's right. So let me ask you this first question that we're talking about every Tuesday, which is where does this passage fit in the story of scripture? Yeah, I mentioned yesterday
0:55.2	how important context is in general, but in particular with this passage, because if we just
1:01.7	read it on its own, it can definitely make us wonder, like, what is going on? So we might remember
1:07.9	that last week we were in Genesis 1 at the beginning of creation.
1:12.7	So in Genesis 3, we're still at the beginning.
1:16.0	God has created his first humans, Adam and Eve, and he has charged them to be image
1:21.2	bearers in the world that he has created, ruling over it and cultivating it in such a way
1:26.0	that brings glory to him.
1:28.1	Adam and Eve were able to enjoy all that God had created, except that they weren't supposed
1:33.0	to take fruit from this one tree in the garden.
1:36.5	But the serpent appears in the beginning of Genesis 3, tempting Eve to take from this
1:42.4	tree.
1:43.2	And sadly, both Adam and Eve take this fruit,
