throughout the entire biblical story, but the center of it. Hi, everyone. Welcome back to a year in the

Bible. My name is Alexa, and I'm here with my co-host Beth. We are so thrilled to begin

another week of Bible study with you all. This week we're going to be discussing Isaiah 40

1 through 5 in Luke 3 verses 1 through 6 and verses 21 and 22. We will see how God's plans and

prophecies of redemption are fulfilled by the coming of Christ. Yes, today we are talking about our annotations

of Isaiah 40-1-5, so let me go ahead and read that passage for us. Comfort, comfort, my people,

says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem and announce to her that her time of hearts, her rest is

over. Her iniquity has been pardoned, and she has received from the Lord's

hand double for all her sins. A voice of one crying out, prepare the way of the Lord in the

wilderness, make a straight highway for our God in the desert. Every valley will be lifted up,

and every mountain and hill will be leveled. The uneven ground will become smooth in the rough places of plain,

and the glory of the Lord will appear, and all humanity together will see it, for the mouth of the

Lord has spoken. So Beth, tell us about your annotations. Yeah, I had a lot of fun annotating

this passage. I wanted to mainly focus our time today on God and his attributes,
