0:38.5	week we have studied Isaiah 7, 10, through 14, and Matthew 1, 21 through 23. And we've learned that
0:44.2	Jesus is our long-awaited king, who enables us to have a relationship with God. So now, we want to
0:50.2	spend some more time thinking about how we want to apply what we've learned this week.
0:54.7	So, Alexa, how are you planning on applying these two texts?
0:59.0	Yeah, I've just been thinking more about what it means that Jesus is our Emmanuel and how
1:03.1	that impacts just my everyday life. I think it's really easy for me to know in my mind that God
1:08.9	is with me, but I don't think I actively live without awareness
1:12.1	that God is with me. And so when my circumstances are good, I might not think about God that
1:17.5	much. And so I'm not thinking about His presence with me. And then when my circumstances aren't good,
1:23.3	I might seek God more than I do when my life is good, but I don't think I trust in the truth
1:29.1	that God is with me in those circumstances.
1:31.9	And I think it's because I might not feel like God's presence is all that palpable in my pain.
1:37.3	But I actually think that's because I'm not actively considering God's presence and meditating
