0:33.9	Bible. My name is Beth, and I am here with my co-host, Alexa. Hey, everyone. So yesterday
0:39.5	we discussed the annotation day for Isaiah 7, 10, through 14. And now we want to go a little bit
0:45.4	deeper into that passage. So to help us out, Alexa, can you share with us where exactly this
0:51.1	passage falls and the overall story of the Bible. Yeah, Katie did a great job last week
0:56.0	of telling us that Isaiah is a prophet that God used to prophesy about the upcoming judgment on God's
1:01.7	people, as well as future restoration for the world through the promised Messiah. And so in Isaiah 7,
1:08.4	Isaiah is sent by God to go to King Ahaz, who is King of Judah.
1:13.6	The King of Syria and the King of Israel both have come together to try and form an alliance with Judah to overflow Assyria.
1:20.9	But when that fails, Syria and Israel try to take over Judah together.
1:25.2	So Judah is in a tough spot.
1:27.0	They have the powerful nation of
1:28.2	Assyria as a threat, and they also have both Syria and Israel trying to take them over.
1:33.2	So as we learn in today's today day, King Ahaz has several decisions to make. He could try and get
1:38.7	through an attack from Israel and Syria. He could try and partner with Israel and Syria to try
1:43.8	and conquer Syria,
