Hey, guys. So so far this week,

we have looked at Isaiah 7, 10, through 14. And now we are going to turn to the New Testament and take a

look at Matthew 1, 21 through 23. So Alexa, can you read that passage for us? She will give birth to a son

and you want to name him Jesus because he will save his people from their sins.

Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet.

See the Virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son and they will name him Immanuel, which is translated, God is with us.

Yeah, I loved reading this passage and seeing the connections to Isaiah 7.

Verse 23 is essentially Isaiah 714, and I love how in verse 22 it shows us that what is happening here with Mary is the ultimate fulfillment of what God says in Isaiah 7.

So again, just thinking about God's faithfulness,

I think we see the attribute of faithful present in verse 22 as God's promises are fulfilled.

And I love how verse 21 expands on the hope that God gives in Isaiah 7. The son is named Jesus
