This week we looked at Isaiah 5 1 through 7 and John 15 1 through 5 and learned that Jesus is the true

vine through which God's people can thrive.

Jesus is the redemption of God's vineyard in Isaiah 5.

And we want to now consider what we learned about Jesus and apply it to our own lives.

So Katie, how do you plan on applying the passages from this week?

Oh, there are so many ways to apply this week's study.

And I think that's what I love about studying the Isaiah vineyard passages so much, especially

when connected to John 15.

One of the most humbling applications from this passage for me is Jesus's words,

you can do nothing without me. We see this in Isaiah's parable, don't we? Israel could not grow

good grapes on its own. They choose the wayward path time and time again, and so would I

without Jesus. I think that sometimes my self-sufficiency can be

sneaky and I can go through the motions of life or accomplish a busy day and just forget to live
