Welcome to a year in the Bible with Daily Grace.

This year, we want to spend a few minutes with you every day walking through our study Christ and all of Scripture.

Hey, everyone. Welcome back to Year in the Bible. My name is Alexa and I'm here of my co-host for

the week, Katie. Hey, hey. This week we

looked at Psalm 8 in Hebrews 2, 5 through 9 and learned that Jesus is worthy to receive glory and

honor because he humbled himself to humanity and to the cross. Now we are ending our study of

the passages that we looked at this week by talking about how we plan on applying what we learned

reading. And I've been thinking back to mankind's failure to reign as God intended. All the times

that I've neglected to water my houseplants, the times I raise my voice and frustration to my kiddos or

the times I fail to see someone in need, I do not reign in a way that God, that honors God's

privilege that he's giving me. And so praise me to God for Jesus. So he does not only reign perfectly

in humility and without sin, but because he has given us the

Holy Spirit, he has equipped us to care for what God has entrusted to us in the way that

brings God glory. So Jesus has redeemed our lives and paved the way for us to follow into his

footsteps. I know that I need him always. And so this reminder, this Holy Spirit guidance as we
