Today we're going to be making the Christ's connection between Psalm 8 and Hebrews 2, 539. So,

Katie, will you start off our conversation on that connection? Sure. I thought I would start by

providing some background to the book of Hebrews, just in case our listeners aren't familiar.

So the book of Hebrews is fascinating because we actually don't know its author.

And yet, it is clear from this letter in its entirety, even in verses that we studied this

week, that the author had extensive understanding of the Old Testament.

The book was written to proclaim the superiority of Christ.

Jesus is essential to our salvation and, in fact,

who the Old Testament pointed towards. I think this background really helps us to make sense of

Psalm 8 and Hebrews too, doesn't it? The author of Hebrews interprets Psalm 8 through the lens of
