We have been talking about Deuteronautomy 30 verse 6 in Romans 2, 28, through 29 this week,

and how Jesus is the one who saves us and gives us a true heart change.

So as we close out this week, we want to talk about applying what we learned.

So, Alexa, what are your application takeaways?

Yeah, you know, this week convicted me over how easy it is to rely on something external to make you feel right with God and to have God's approval. That is what the Jews ended up doing.

They wore their circumcision like a badge of honor that boasted of their relationship with God.

And it's so easy to do that today as Christians in different ways. The study day today named

church attendance and regular Bible reading as some examples. For me personally, it's ministry

that often makes me feel like I have God's favor and approval.

I know that ministry doesn't save me, but I do sometimes think that it's because of ministry work that I am more favorable in God's eyes.

And if I'm honest, ministry can also make me feel like I am better than others, that because

I'm doing this work for God that I'm somehow more holier than others.
