0:33.7	Bible. My name is Alexa, and I'm here with my co-host, Beth. Hey. Hey everyone. Today we are closing out the week by talking about how we plan to apply the passages
0:42.3	that we've been looking at this week. So Alexa, what are your application takeaways?
0:47.3	Yeah, I really appreciated the application prompt that asked, how should being free from the curse of sin affect your daily life?
0:54.8	I have the habit of often reflecting on the gospel, but not always responding to the gospel.
1:01.1	Like this week, we got to consider the truth that Jesus has removed the curse for our sin and has
1:05.8	given us blessing through him. That is such an amazing truth. But I often appreciate that truth as well as other
1:14.0	truths of the gospel in the moment and then just go on to live my life not responding to that
1:19.4	truth and the truth of the gospel. So that prompt allowed me to take a second and consider,
1:23.4	okay, how do I practically live out the freedom I have in Christ? I thought of a couple things.
1:28.9	The first is that it allows me to not seek favor from God or other people through my actions.
1:34.9	I try so hard, so often to always do the right thing.
1:40.7	And while that's a good thing, I think that desire usually is tied to trying to please God and others.
1:46.1	I think if I always do what's right, then God will be happy with me and other people will be happy with me.
1:52.0	But the gospel reminds me that my behavior doesn't earn favor with God.
1:55.6	And the favor of others doesn't amount to anything either.
