From the Jill Schwartz Memorial Library here in Sultry, Savannah, this is Obscure Season 4 in American Tragedy.

I'm your host, your friend, your ear lover, and literary, mansplainer-in-chief Michael Ian Black, and Sue Pine, finally, on the

Jack Jack Memorial Reading Throne, finally back at my place of residence after what seems like

weeks and weeks and weeks away. And I guess it has been. And I depart again on Thursday of this coming week for New York City, where I will be

interviewing Jim Gaffigan as part of the Tribeca Film Festival. And then on the Sunday of that weekend, at the Tribeca Film Festival,

a new film entitled Long Live the State will be premiering. It is a documentary about my old

sketch group, The State. I haven't seen it. And I will not be attending. Not out of any animus on my part, but because

that night I have a show previously scheduled in Beacon, New York. So I will be hanging out with

folks from the state the day prior, and I will be supporting the documentary from afar, but I will not be

attending its premiere, which, if I'm perfectly frank, I didn't really want to go to anyway.

Not because, again, I have any animus towards the project or the state, but because I think watching a documentary

about oneself would be incredibly painful. And so I have little desire to do that. But I was going

to attend the premiere and then just, you know, abscond before the actual film began.

So that's my plan for the coming week and weeks, the following week, I go to Nantucket

for the Nantucket Film Festival, where I've been many times. They often have me host panels

and such. When I go there and, you know, do the

storytelling hour when I go there, you know, just a terrific fun time. But I'm going to go with

at least my son and possibly also my wife. She hasn't quite decided if she wants to do that.

And then by the time we get back from that, we turn right around and head right back

up the East Coast to, uh, we're going to a July 4th party up in Nyack, New York, and then we're,

and then we're going to be living in the Poconos for a couple months. So Michael, when you go to
