From some dingy hotel room off the strip in Las Vegas, Nevada, this is obscure season four,

an American tragedy.

I'm your host, your friend, your ear lover, and literary mansplainer in chief, Michael, Ian Black, still, still, a week later.

In Las Vegas, Nevada, I have decamped from the strip where all the fancy hotels are to this dingy ass

low rent Motel 6 type establishment somewhere in the I don't know where I am I'm off

the strip and the reason I'm here is because my friend Maria was able to get me discounted rooms

at Caesars. And then when those ran out and I still had some days left in Las Vegas, I just

look for the cheapest thing I could find. And this, well, cheap and safe. And that, you know,

that didn't have atrocious Yelp reviews. So I ended up at this dingy-ass hotel. It's called the serene,

if you're ever looking to stay in a dingy-ass hotel in Las Vegas. And I walked into the lobby,

and I thought to myself, oh, no. But it turns out the room is clean. And that's all I care about.

You know, it's got a comfortable bed.

It's got, it's got, well, that's about all it's got.

It's got a comfortable bed.

And that's fine.

I am attending a friend's Memorial Day party later this afternoon.

And then tomorrow I return to sultry Savannah. It has been a

fun week, I guess so. I guess it's been fun. I mean, I've pretty much only been playing poker.

I've either been in my room, like watching Netflix. I watched the hunt for Osama bin Laden, which was actually

very interesting, and eating overpriced meals solo, and then when I'm not doing that, I'm playing

poker.
