Today's episode is inspired by a random post I saw on the social medes recently. It said,

people will swim in the ocean, even though there are many corpses in it. But people will not swim in a

pool with just one corpse in it. This means all humans have a corpse to water ratio that is

acceptable for them to swim in. And while pretty

awkwardly worded, whoever came up with this thought originally wasn't wrong. There are so many

secrets that hide in the murky waters of our oceans, our lakes, our rivers, which is why I prefer

chemically treated clear to the bottom water for my swimming. I am much more

of a pool girl than a lake girl, which sucks because I quite literally live in the Great Lakes

state. I've gotten into specifics of Lake Michigan before. We've talked about the area and the

depth and the volume. The big thing to keep in mind if you're not

from around these parts and have never laid thine own eyes upon the Great Lakes is that they're

much more ocean-like than Nana's house on the lake. There's even a pretty common phrase that you'll

find slapped on t-shirts and keychains. The Great Lakes, unsalted and shark-free. And while that is mostly true,

that doesn't mean that there aren't things lurking. We've talked about some dark Great Lakes
