race is in Maryland and to be, I am somewhat conflicted about it.

Republicans are going to nominate Larry Hogan, a popular two-term governor who's

been a consistent Trump critic. He's the only Republican to make this race even remotely

competitive. Now I am a bit of a Larry Hogan fan girl and I even tried to

recruit him to run against Trump in 2020.

But as much as I hope a Senator Hogan

would be a Mitt Romney-style Trump critic,

he'd be a step toward a bigger Republican majority, and I'm loved to give this mega version of the

Republican Party any more power, especially when we are staring down the barrel of

a second Trump administration.

This race will be decided by Democratic-leaning voters in Maryland

who once crossed over and voted for Hogan as governor.
