I'm Holly and I'm Bridget and this is Girls Next Level.

0:09.4

Welcome back to Girls Next Level podcast. We are back to talk about every day is Wednesday,

0:16.0

part two. And this episode is all about trying to make it in Hollywood.

0:23.8

Yeah.

0:24.2

And we were trying to make it in Hollywood way back in the early 2000s.

0:29.2

Yes.

0:29.9

And I wanted to ask, did you have an agent when you first moved to town?

0:33.4

And do you have any audition horror stories?

0:36.4

I did have an agent when I first moved to town,

0:38.7

the same one I think you had. Really? Gordon Rail? Oh, I did work with, oh my God. That wasn't my

0:46.2

agent, but I do have Gordon Rail stories. Okay, so Gordon Rail, and he might still be out there, so hi.

0:53.3

He's for sure still out there. He was an agent that was not with one of the big Hollywood agencies. He was specifically employed by Playboy in like the late 90s, early 2000s. But by the time we moved into the mansion, he was kind of gone, right? No, I was still working with him.

1:12.4

Yeah, they must have got rid of him early on, though, because, like, he wasn't there during

1:16.2

the Girls Next Door era at all. I wasn't still working with him, but I don't know that he wasn't

1:21.0

still doing stuff, but I'm not sure. Yeah, so he was hired by Playboy to try and make the

1:27.3

playmates into stars, basically. So they

1:29.6

had this in-house agent, and his job was to take all the playmates and try to get them work.

1:34.7

And there was just a lot of talk. Like, people would credit him with things that I could be wrong,

1:40.5

but I don't think he did. Like, oh, he's the one who made Pam Anderson who she is. But then I would hear from other people that they know how Pam got certain gigs or who got her those gigs and it wasn't him. Yeah. And I'm not saying Gordon was saying that. This was just kind of the chatter. There was a lot of misinformation, I feel. I mean, he may have been involved in some of the deals just because here's the deal.

2:02.6

Ray Manzella did help make Pam Anderson who she was.

2:06.7

And that was the person who helped me get into the mansion and brought me there the first time.

2:10.9

Well, not the first time, but like brought me, we made friends.
