| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the Cure for Chronic Pain podcast with me, Nicole Sacks. You are here. Hello, everybody. How are you guys today? This is Nicole Sacks, and you have reached my podcast, The Cure for Chronic Pain. Happy to be here with you guys today. |
| 0:23.4 | You know, I hope that wherever you are in Lifey Life at this moment, you are not allowing it |
| 0:30.9 | to get you down. And I don't mean you're not acknowledging the real and honest reactions you're having and emotions you're having about |
| 0:40.7 | life. But I hope it's not keeping you stuck, keeping you underwater because, you know, |
| 0:46.3 | I had a week where it could have really done it to me. I was tempted to let things really get me down. And, and this is not, by the way, |
| 0:58.5 | toxic positivity or spiritual bypassing. This is literally, life can be really challenging and it can |
| 1:05.4 | really shake the foundations of the goodness that you know is inside of you and your efforts and your parenting |
| 1:13.9 | and your work and your love relationships, whatever it is. So just know that if you can just |

| 1:40.6 | And second of all, keep yourself from repressing those basic human emotions that |
| 1:46.5 | sometimes can lead to symptoms and pain. So I hope this finds you well. And I have a really |
| 1:54.5 | cool, interesting conversation with you guys today. So as you all know, my book is called |
| 1:58.5 | Mind Your Body, which means I am always dancing in the |
| 2:03.3 | space of the mind-body connection. I'm always being thoughtful about how our minds and our |
| 2:11.5 | bodies interact and the best way for me to teach you the kind of awareness that can allow you to be as healthy as possible. |
| 2:19.6 | But one of the things I really want to focus on in the next year is opening the conversation |
| 2:27.4 | to the actual physical experience of the body and being embodied. Because as much as it is the mind-body connection, |
| 2:37.0 | I spend so much energy in the heart and in the mind. I spend so much energy in the mental |
| 2:45.6 | and emotional and spiritual aspects of being alive. And there's also this physical body. There's also this thing, |
| 2:53.3 | this vessel in which we live and how it moves through the world and how it is affected. |
