0:08.2	Thanks for joining. Today, we are reading 2nd Corinthians 1 through 5, and I am back in the podcast studio with former radio show host.

0:41.1	But you've shared your story in past episodes. We'll link some of those as well.
0:45.0	Love it. And I've got four questions for you from 2 Corinthians.
0:49.1	And the first is very simple. What do we need to know about this book? How does it relate to First Corinthians,
0:54.7	themes, Paul's relationship with the Corinthians, etc.? All that good stuff. Yes, so we know
1:01.4	that Paul wrote this letter to the church in Corinth, and this is his second letter to them,
1:06.0	because he helped establish this church. We won't get into the dates a little bit before. And he's writing to
1:12.4	them because he just needs to encourage them. He's heard some things that they're really,
1:16.4	the Corinthians are starting. We know that they're believers. So he's writing to believers. He's
1:19.8	writing to his church. But they're new believers. And so he has heard that they're struggling to just
1:25.8	really live out their faith. And what does that look like?
1:28.2	And that they're maybe blending in them with the culture more and they're not being set apart.
1:32.8	And so really he's just reminding them ultimately of who they are and who's in them. And that's Jesus.
1:39.3	And that Christ is in them and can work through them. And we have the Holy Spirit and just reminding them that the
1:44.5	power of the Holy Spirit can really impact their walk, which is why they should be set apart.
1:50.9	That's good. You ready for the next one?
1:52.9	Yeah, I think so.
1:53.5	Okay. Let's get a little more specific. So Paul says that God comforts us in our affliction so we can comfort others, which is great.
