Today, we are reading Matthew 5 through 7, Sermon on the Mount, and I am in the podcast studio with faithful Watermark South Dallas member, Jacob Erington.

How is everyone doing? I'm so happy to be here. Thanks for having me.

For those who don't know you, what has God done in your life? How'd you come to know him?

And what are you up to today?

I grew up in a very small town north of Frisco.

Loved it.

Wouldn't have it any other way.

Love growing up in a small town.

I grew up going to church.

I'd say it was truly saved, accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior at a very young age.

And then it was, man, high school, college.

It was really struggling to yield to his authority

over my life, to his lordship over my life, battled that for a while. And then I would say I started

to see a relationship with God more through, in a knowing God in a factual sense. And so I'd equated to reading a biography of someone

and saying that you know that person.

And you know a lot of facts about their life.

But that's not the kind of God we serve and we worship.

It's a relational God.

And so this is where I'd say, man,
