So I'm just going to jump in with the first one, if that's good.

So we asked, Brett, would you please walk us through the imagery of spiritual adultery in God's grace at the end of chapter 16?

So understanding, it's first important, Ezekiel is now in Babylon, and he was taken in the second deportation.

And so Ezekiel's writing some prophecy that's dealing with what's coming and also telling the Israelites how they should be responding. And so in Ezekiel 16, God tells a story

through Ezekiel of a newborn that he found that had been abandoned at birth. And he reared this child,

love this child. And as she grew older, she became beautiful,

and he adopted her or married her, you might say, as his wife.

But then it goes on to explain how she became very unfaithful. And he even calls her worse than a prostitute at a certain

point because prostitutes generally get paid for their services. And God accuses them of even having paid the others rather than even receiving payment.
