Join the journey enthusiast. I enjoy reading the Bible together, and it makes this really big church feel small.
0:40.2	I love it. I'm glad you're back. And Ezekiel's a tough one. Yeah. So we're looking at the Jewish exile to Babylon, which happened over a 10-year period, just about. And Ezekiel's prophecy is addressing both Jewish exiles and Jews still living in Jerusalem.

0:58.2	Well, you know, when you're observing these moments in history and you're hearing dialogues that
1:04.2	are going on, for me, when I just observed this particular moment, I just heard three words of warning, loud and clear, that
1:13.5	applied then and I think apply now. So I'd love to just take you through them. What's the first
1:17.9	one? Okay, so here's warning number one. God's word does more than comfort. It also confronts.
1:25.6	Certainly, when you're reading through the Bible, I'm sure some of our listeners today, you're going through something hard in your life.
1:33.4	There is something weighty and you need to be comforted by God's word.
1:38.8	But if you're only ever comforted by God's word or by those who teach God's word.

1:44.9	That might be a problem because God's word also confronts us in our sin, in our weakness,
