Summary

In today's final episode of Nehemiah, Emma Dotter and Scott Sengbush talk about how Nehemiah was inspecting the work, holding the people to the expectations that God had set. The people's continued failings demonstrate the need for a change of heart in the people, which we have received through Christ and the Spirit of God.

Hello.

We are jumping into really this final discussion through Nehemiah. We learn about project management. So tell us a little

0:21.7

bit more about the final aspect of project management. Yeah, one of the things that we see in this

0:27.7

final section is the faithful people that stayed in the city and how they separated. And then we see

And then we see the final reforms come in chapter 13.

1:19.5

And he says, as he's noticing people, not observe the Sabbath, did not your fathers act in this way and did not our God bring all this disaster on us and on this city?

1:34.7

And this isn't the only thing that he sees going wrong.

1:37.0

But the thing that I'm seeing here is from a project management standpoint, you want to inspect what you expect.

1:46.0

Say that again. That's good. You want to inspect what you expect. Say that again, that's good. You want to inspect what you expect.

1:49.0

Let's say you're in charge of people for join the journey, getting stuff done, right?

1:53.0

You have hundreds of people writing devotionals.

1:57.0

Yep.

1:58.0

You have editors that inspect every single devotion. Yeah, what we're expecting

2:03.1

them to turn in. That's good. Exactly. And so it would be foolish of you to not check those things

2:09.3

and something gets through that maybe is theologically wrong or misses the context of the verse or the

2:16.5

section that they're reading. And then you put that out
