Hi, welcome to another episode of the Standard of Truth podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Garrett Dirkmont, and I'm joined by my friend, Professor Richard Leduke. Hello, Garrett. In this week's

podcast, it's going to be a little bit different, as we said last week that this is missionary calling season. It's my favorite time

of the year. It's a lot of fun. And my son is preparing to serve a mission in Peru. And I have

another son that's on a mission right now in Barcelona. If you have any more people go on a mission,

you're not going to be able to make your house family.

Actually, having them go on a mission has saved me so much money.

The about of food that they ate, the things that they, it's been, it's been great.

We're saving 10 of, yeah, they were in.

We're saving tens of thousands of dollars a month.

It's a new financial plan for you and yours. If you are having a hard time making ends meet, send your kids on missions.

So as we're helping our son prepare for a mission, there's lots of things, right?

There's the temporal things and getting in the visa paperwork and buying all of the things.

And it's a fun and great time.

And sometimes, I know this was the case for me at least,

is that lost in some of that is some of the spiritual preparation that happens.

And obviously reading preach my gospel or reading the Book of Mormon,

doing the mission prep that maybe your ward or steak
