0:26.5	Welcome back to you a year in the Bible, Daily Grace. My name is Katie, and it's my joy to begin Titus today
0:29.5	with you in our year-long study of the New Testament. We are studying Titus 1 today and as always
0:35.8	you can follow along with the behold studies in the Daily Grace Coast Shop or with
0:40.0	the reading plan linked in the show notes. I am so excited to jump into Titus
0:45.2	with you today because I'm sure most of you when looking for encouragement in
0:49.4	your Bibles you don't necessarily flip to Titus.
0:52.8	Not because it's not encouraging, but just because it's a lesser-known book.
0:56.8	And I think that as we study Titus,
0:59.3	you will in fact be encouraged to cling to sound doctrine and allow this sound doctrine the truth of the
1:05.9	gospel and the grace you've received in Christ to fuel good works in your life. That's the big theme of
1:12.3	Titus. Paul will repeatedly discuss both sound
1:16.0	doctrine and good works in this letter and how they work together in the life of a Christian.
1:21.6	But first, we have a few context questions to answer.
1:25.2	The first being, who is Titus? Where is Titus located and why is Pyle writing to him?
1:31.6	We have seen Titus's name several times so far
1:35.2	in our study of the New Testament.
1:37.1	In 2 Corinthians, in Galatians, and in 2nd Timothy.
1:41.0	He is a Gentile co-worker of Paul who joined Paul in his third missionary journey and also joined him to Jerusalem.
