Testament in a year one chapter at a time and today we finish Paul's letter to the Roman Church by studying

Romans chapter 16. I don't know about you but I am a little sad to be ending such an important book in the Bible.

Every time I read Romans I am reminded of how grateful I am that Christ came to save

sinners just like me. Romans puts our faith in perspective. It reminds us of

all Christ done for us. He did not just cancel our debt of sin, he secured our

adoption as sons and daughters of God. He did not just die as

a sacrifice. He rose in victory and ascended to the right hand of God. He did not leave

us alone. He gave all who believe the Holy Spirit. He doesn't just offer hope for today. He offers hope for eternity.

If you flip the pages of your Bible back to the first paragraph of Romans, you will see that Paul began by identifying Christ as the one promised beforehand through the prophets in the Holy Scriptures.

Paul magnifies Jesus, a descendant of David as the powerful son of God who resurrected from the dead.

He says, through him we have received grace and

apostle ship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name.
