0:28.0	Here we are reading through the entire New Testament together, taking it one chapter a day. Today we are in the Gospel of John reading
0:36.8	John 14. As always we are reading from the behold study from the Daily Grace

0:46.6	I want to set us up well here for this chapter.
0:49.8	If you remember yesterday, Jesus is having an intimate conversation with the disciples, the last
0:55.3	conversation he will have with them before his crucifixion.
1:00.0	Imagine your last conversation with those you love most. What would you tell them? What would your tone be?
1:05.7	Likely you would want them to remember your love for them. There would be hugs,
1:09.7	tears, joy, sorrow. This is the tone of John 14.
1:15.0	Jesus encourages the disciples with his love.
1:18.0	He assures them with his presence and reminds them of one central truth,
1:22.0	that he is one with God.
1:26.1	In John 13, John told his disciples that he was going to a place where they could not come,
1:31.3	at least right now. He must go alone. And John 14 tells us exactly
1:36.5	where Jesus is going and what he will be doing there. Jesus is ascending into
1:41.6	heaven. But what I love about this chapter is Jesus's tender encouragement to his disciples
