0:11.0	This year we will fix our gaze upon Christ so that we may know

0:28.7	through the New Testament, and today we jump back into the Book of Colossians.

0:43.9	Paul opens today's chapter with a reminder
0:46.5	to live in light of your salvation and your union with Christ.
0:50.8	If we have truly been raised with Christ, that should transform what we seek after and how we live.
0:57.0	So Paul's practical instruction here is to seek the things above and to set our mind on things above and not the things of this world.
1:06.1	Things above is not just what is happening in heaven, but about our savior in heaven.
1:10.8	We are to set our minds on Jesus. We are to look to him, remember his life, and fix our gaze upon
1:18.0	his character. We are to behold Jesus and seek after him with everything that we are. This isn't about an academic
1:26.0	pursuit of knowledge but about the goal of our entire life to know and love Jesus
1:31.4	and to experience Jesus every day of our lives.
1:35.0	This gives profound purpose to everything that we face in this life
1:40.0	when we remember that we are united to Jesus.
1:43.2	As Paul continues, we see in verse 4 the truth that Christ is our life.
