Where are we and how did we get here?

In episode one, we listened to Don Spirit's now infamous 911 call, and were introduced to the

Spirit family.

Yes, ma'am, I just shot my daughter and shot all my grandkids, and when you get here,

I'm going to shoot myself.

In episode two, we took an in-depth look at the day of the murders, the discovery of the

bodies, and a drug called

Spice. You know when you go into an attic and you see little chunks of fiberglass sitting

around, that's what it looked like. I take a huge rip. I looked over at my friend and I looked

at him as if he were simply a sack of meat that was emitting sound.

In our most recent episode, episode 3, we examined Don Spirit's criminal history, which

includes an incident from 2001 when Don Spirit shot and killed his nine-year-old son, Kyle,

in a hunting accident, an incident for which he would spend three years in state prison.

As we wrap up this story, we'll look at the remainder of Don Spirit's criminal history,

including some of his most violent offenses to date.
