0:30.0	Together we are reading through the New Testament in a year one chapter a day.
0:35.0	As always we are following the behold studies from the Daily Grace Co or the
0:40.6	free reading plan linked in the show notes.
0:43.4	Today, we are studying acts nine.
0:46.6	This chapter is huge, and we will remember it
0:50.1	as we read big chunks of the New Testament moving forward.
0:53.0	Why?
0:54.0	Because this chapter marked the conversion of Saul on Damascus Road.
0:58.0	So far, we have seen Saul ravaged the early church.
1:02.0	He sanctioned the murder of Stephen and went door to door
1:04.5	trying to throw Christians into prison. He persecuted the early church. He was an
1:09.8	enemy of Christ. In acts 26-5, Paul tells us that he lived by the strictest
1:15.8	sect of the Jewish religion as a Pharisee like those we read about in the
1:20.2	Gospels. Likely someone who would have joined the chorus of crucify him as Pilate asks the Jews what to do with Jesus.
1:28.0	But in this chapter, Christ takes an enemy and turns him into an apostle.
1:34.0	He takes what seemed like a roadblock for his mission
