Summary
Today's Psalm can be broken up into three parts: God knows everything, God is everywhere and God can do anything. Lauren Atkinson reminds us that we aren't left in our sin, we are left with a promise that God will sanctify us through Christ.
Additional Scripture mentioned in today's episode:
Genesis 1-3; Creation story and humanity's sin
Hebrews 9:14, "How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God."
John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

| 0:20.2 | But before we get started, I wanted to let you know about an exciting |

| 0:29.6 | 7.30 p.m. We are going to be hosting an event for college and young adult women at Watermark |
| 0:34.1 | Coffee. We're going to have worship, biblical teaching from some of our friends, |
| 0:38.5 | and it will be a great opportunity to connect with other women in the Dallas area. We'll link the |

| 0:50.2 | have been a Christian for a while or have read many of the Psalms, then you're probably |
| 0:55.1 | familiar with Psalm 139, or at least have read it before. This Psalm is particularly known for the |
| 1:01.4 | middle passage, where it talks about how we are fearfully and wonderfully made by the God who |
| 1:06.8 | knit us together in our mother's womb and has created us intentionally and purposefully. |
| 1:12.1 | Often this verse is found on coffee mugs or screensavers and might be the central focus of a |
| 1:17.6 | women's ministry event. And all those verses are true. God has created us intentionally and with |
| 1:22.7 | purpose, fearfully and wonderfully, as David the psalmist says. But that's not all the psalm says. Before we study what |
| 1:30.5 | the psalm says about us, though we want to know what the psalm says about who God is. And that's the |
| 1:35.9 | overarching theme of this Psalm. A commentary that I read broke down this Psalm into three key points. |
| 1:42.7 | First, God knows everything. Second, God is everywhere. |
| 1:47.2 | And third, God can do anything. Starting in verse one, David shows that God knows all. He says, |
| 1:54.6 | O Lord, you have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up, you discern my |
