| 0:33.8 | Yeah, so I grew up in Virginia. |
| 0:36.5 | Kind of was in and out of church growing up, but it wasn't until the summer between 8th and 9th grade where my youth pastor and one of my youth leaders had just been faithfully pursuing me and asking me really intentional questions, listening to my questioning of the faith, |
| 0:55.5 | that the Lord really grabbed my heart, and I gave my life to him. |
| 1:00.6 | And kind of along that same time, I was learning musical things. |
| 1:05.4 | And my pastor at the time also saw that and kind of fanned that small flame of a gift and encouraged |
| 1:13.9 | me to use that throughout high school while I was leading for our youth group and sometimes |
| 1:19.3 | our Sunday services. |
| 1:21.4 | And then went to college and met my now wife and and we dated long distance, |
| 1:28.3 | and I moved to College Station to finish school at A&M. |
| 1:32.3 | And while we were there, I was going through one of our premarital curriculums here called Merge. |
| 1:39.3 | And I just Googled the curriculum and saw Watermark was doing what's called the Institute, |
| 1:45.6 | which is a year-long equipping program for post-grads of college. |
| 1:51.2 | And I went through the Institute with the worship team, just feeling a call on my life to devote it to ministry in some way, |
| 1:59.0 | and had been affirmed in this gifting along the way of leading worship |
