Currently, we are studying First Corinthians, and today we will be in 1st Corinthians 10.

addressing the letter written to him from the Corinthian Church. From concerns

raised in this chapter Paul expounds upon Christian liberty or the freedom that we have in Christ.

What does that freedom permit?

In today's chapter, Paul continues to address whether or not it is okay to eat food offered to idols.

But his answer isn't as black and white as the Corinthians might have hoped.

Paul argues in chapter 8 that yes food offer to idols is merely food because the idols

themselves are not real but for some newer in the faith or weak as Paul calls

them they may associate this food with the worship of idols. It may lead them to sin.
