Summary

Job is asking the exact questions that we may be feeling as we read. Emma Dotter interviews Ben Krejci, a Watermark member and consistent friend of the podcast. Ben articulates two common problems believers can have when trials come: we have a hesitancy to ask God questions, and we have a hesitancy to be frustrated. Job gives us an example of how to disagree with God.  Yes you can ask questions, and yes you can be frustrated, but also doing those without sin.

 Additional Scripture in Podcast:
Ecclesiastes 7:15, “There is a righteous man who perishes in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man who prolongs his life in his evildoing.”
Psalm 62:8, “Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.”

I'm glad you're here for an unfortunately somewhat depressing chapter.

0:50.6

You know, I was on a few times for Ecclesiastes and then now again for Job.

So, yeah, we're just giving you the sad ones after this. Yeah, after this. Well, hey, why don't you,

1:00.4

since you've been here before, I think we're just going to jump in. We'll link your testimony in the

episode description. Would you catch us up? Get us to Job chapter 24. Absolutely. I think, you know, jokes aside, this is kind of a

1:13.3

tough book to go chapter by chapter. It is. It's hard. As I was thinking of like even reading,

1:17.8

you know, every day, it's like, okay, well, this is sad. And then you read it the next chapter

1:22.0

you flip later. You're like, this is sad again. And then like, oh, this is worse. And while that's kind of the story of Job, it's like it's bad and then it gets worse,

1:29.9

it is kind of hard to read.

1:31.9

And like, as I was reminded as I was reading it, it's like, you know, we study chapter by chapter oftentimes,
