Hello, and welcome to Pints with Jack.

My name is David, and in today's very special episode, I'm joined by assistant producer

Marie.

Hello, thank you for having me.

You're welcome. Now, Marie also happens to be my girlfriend, and as many of you know, we went on a trip to England recently. And we thought we had recorded an episode to tell you about our trip,

because not only was it delightful, and some of you might like to hear

about England, we encounter quite a few things which we think might be of interest to fans of

C.S. Lewis and the Inklings. So in this episode, it's going to be rather different. We'll probably

take a little bit longer than normal. And if you have no care for what I do on vacation, feel free to skip this episode.

But if you really like the inklings, I think there might be some stuff here you might rather enjoy.

I think we should clarify for people why you called me assistant producer, Marie, and not just Marie,

your girlfriend. I am an assistant producer, but not for you, not on your show,

although that would be so fun and so challenging. But I produce a show called Catholic Answers Live.

So that's where I get that title, and they call me that on air. It's fun. And speaking of which,

thanks to Stephen, who sent me the email that Marie sent out to all the radio club listeners

about her trip to England. She didn't tell me that she had written this. So it's good to know

that I've got spies who tell me of such things. You know, if you subscribed to Radio Club, then maybe you would have received the email.
