and tomorrow we have much to celebrate as we think about all that God will do in the end times.

We do not fear, but instead rejoice that Jesus, our mighty warrior, sovereign king, and precious

Savior will return to make all things new.

The events in Chapter 16 through 19,

again spur us on an urgency

We ended yesterday with seven angels each handed a bowl filled with God's wrath. In Chapter 16, these bowls are

poured out. Each bowl serves a purpose to bring God's judgment on people and creation.

The first bull is poured out on all those who have taken the Mark of the Beast.

These people break out in severely painful boils.

The second bull was poured into the sea, and it turned to blood, killing all sea creatures.

The rivers and springs turn to blood when the third bowl is poured out.

The fourth bowl affected the sun and the people were scorched by intense heat. The fifth bowl plunged the kingdom of the

beast into darkness. The sixth bowl dried up the great Euphrates River to prepare for the assembling of the armies for Armageddon.
