My name is Tiffany, and I want to spend a few minutes with you every day walking through

the Bible chronologically.

Together, we will explore God's sovereign plan as the events of Scripture unfold and point

to Jesus.

Hey, here in the Bible readers, Tiffany here, and today we press on through the book

of Numbers.

As we come to chapter 7 through 9, we need to talk about the order of some of the events

to limit our confusion.

When you started reading chapter 7, it might have sounded familiar because we read about

Moses' consecration of the tabernacle back in Exodus chapter 40.

Remember, we mentioned just a couple days ago that Numbers is the sequel or continuation

of events of Exodus.

Here in these early chapters of Numbers, we are given some details to help us better understand

the coming events of the Israelite camp.

God, in his wisdom, had Moses record the events of the military formation of the tribes and

the roles of the Levites before their actual occurrence.

These events would have happened after the tabernacle was consecrated, but by listing

them first, we have a better backstory to help understand the offerings of each tribe

and the consecration of the Levites.
