0:43.2	these chapters teach us much about God and also set this stage for the military conquest

0:50.1	Let's not forget that the nation is in an area known as the Transjordan region.
0:55.6	They are encamped to the east of the Jordan River, overlooking the fortified city of Jericho.
1:02.3	In chapter 31, God instructs Moses to carry out vengeance on the Midianites for their
1:08.9	physical and spiritual seduction of Israel.
1:12.4	The Midianites were a nomadic tribe that were associated with multiple people groups.
1:18.7	Israel's war was with the Moabite Midianites.
1:22.6	This military campaign would be the last conquest led by Moses before his death.
1:28.2	The Lord directs Moses to gather 1,000 men from each tribe to go to war against the Midianites.
1:34.9	We read that five kings, Baylam and all the men were killed.
