Hey friends, welcome back to the podcast, Tiffany here, and today we are camping out in the gospel of Luke.

Luke 12 through 13 shares Jesus' various teachings and warnings with several audiences in several locations,

but each one is bound together by an overarching theme.

Jesus' call to repentance.

We will see this as we talk briefly about fearing the Lord, abandoning greed and anxiety,

being ready for Christ's return, and choosing the narrow way.

Though Luke's narratives move quickly in these chapters, Jesus patiently and continually shows his disciples,

the Pharisees, and the people that he is the better way.

We have spoken about fearing the Lord in other passages throughout our journey from even to eternity,

and the holy reverence and all we are to have toward the Lord.

And here in Luke, Jesus practically reminds the people that they do not need to fear those that can kill the body,

but fear the one who can cast them into hell after death.

This is directly linked to their acknowledgement or rejection of Jesus.

Those who acknowledge Christ as Lord display their fear of God and acceptance of eternal life in his presence.

Those who reject the leading of the Holy Spirit will face his wrath and eternal separation from the Lord.
