0:30.0	Today, we come to some passages in Luke and John that might seem like a hodgepodge of events.
0:37.8	But when read together, we see that Jesus continually teaches the Pharisees and disciples that
0:44.7	genuine belief in him produces joy, mercy, devotion, and trust in his deity.
0:52.4	We will talk about each of these as we walk through the Sending of the 72, the Parable
0:58.3	of the Good Samaritan, Mary and Martha, and the Festival of Dedication.
1:05.2	We begin with the Sending of the 72.
1:08.9	This narrative likely sounded familiar as we recently read about Jesus sending out the
1:13.9	12 in the same manner back in Mark chapter 6 and Luke chapter 9.
1:20.2	So the 12 are his apostles, the 72 are his disciples, just like you and I are.
1:27.4	He commissioned these disciples who had followed him in his ministry to go out in pairs and
1:33.0	share the good news of the gospel in the region.
1:36.7	He reminded them that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
1:42.6	Which reminds believers today that we are God's instruments called to share about Christ
