0:31.0	This chapter shares some of the same narratives we studied yesterday, like Jesus
0:36.0	feeding the 5,000 and walking on the water. We will briefly talk about those, but today we will
0:42.4	focus on Jesus' teaching about the bread of life.
0:46.7	We will learn that our deepest hunger is not physical, but spiritual, and Jesus alone satisfies our souls.
0:55.2	As we dive into Chapter 6, let's chat briefly
0:58.2	about John's narrative of the Feeding of the Five Thousand. After the 5,000.
1:02.9	After the multitude was miraculously fed
1:06.4	by the two fish and five loaves of bread,
1:09.1	the people said,
1:10.6	this truly is the prophet who is to come into the world.
1:15.0	As we've said before, the people saw Jesus as the fulfillment of what Moses said in
1:20.6	Deuteronomy 1815, the Lord or God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. You must listen to him.
1:31.0	But they misunderstood that Jesus was the better Moses and that he
1:38.1	had a far greater purpose than simply saving them from the tyranny of Rome.
1:43.2	Jesus came to save their souls.
