0:28.3	We've come to an exciting couple of days in our journey through the book of Jeremiah.
0:34.2	Today and tomorrow, we will cover Jeremiah chapters 30 through 33.
0:41.1	These four chapters are actually a unit of sorts, but because of the significant nature
0:47.4	of them, we've split them into two days so we can meditate on and appreciate the new

0:55.2	Today, we will study chapters 30 and 31, but it is chapter 32 that gives us the time and
1:03.7	setting of this unit of four chapters.
1:06.9	Jerusalem is about to fall as Babylon besieged it for a third time.
1:12.9	The word of the Lord comes to Jeremiah while he sits in prison and he pins the words
1:19.0	of chapters 30 to 33 with the help of his scribe, Baruch.
1:25.3	Jeremiah has been known as the weeping prophet and we've seen great lament and grief over
1:31.6	the first 29 chapters, but the next four chapters are a departure from Jeremiah's heavy
1:38.8	message of judgment and woe.
1:42.0	These chapters are marked by hope and restoration.
