Summary

0:42.3	In the days ahead, the chapters we read are filled with hope for God's people.
0:48.3	Hope they can claim to when they become exiles under Babylonian rule.
0:54.0	These words will comfort God's people as a remnant awaits return to Jerusalem.
1:00.2	But these words also provide great hope for us as we rejoice that Jesus has come once
1:07.7	and we trust that He will return.
1:11.3	We begin with chapter 40, one of the most encouraging chapters in Isaiah.
1:17.3	In it, God's glorious attributes are on full display.
1:22.2	Though Judah, the southern kingdom, is inching closer to exile with each passing year.
1:28.3	God provides comforting words they can carry with them into exile.
1:33.2	Words that comfort our own hearts even today.
1:37.3	Verse 3 introduces us to a future voice in the wilderness.
1:43.2	Each of the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, explained that this passage is fulfilled
