0:33.7	We referenced this prophet briefly yesterday and today we will be encouraged by his overarching

0:41.7	Haggai only has two chapters which we will dive into after we chat through some context.
0:48.7	Haggai is the widely accepted author of this book.
0:52.9	He was born in captivity in Babylon and returned to Jerusalem with his fellow exiles after
0:59.5	Cyrus the Great's decree.
1:02.4	The Lord used Haggai to encourage his fellow exiles in their building of the temple.
1:08.8	Unlike many of the prophets before him who shared many messages of woe and judgment,
1:14.7	Haggai's message from the Lord is largely encouraging and hopeful.
1:20.2	While he will call out the remnant in Jerusalem for their sinful ways, he also spurs them
1:26.0	on in the mission from the Lord and provides them with the future hope of the Messiah.
1:33.3	Though Haggai is short, there are four sections within this book.
