0:38.2	Chapter 7-9 procured the account of the first seven plagues on Egypt.
0:44.0	I don't know about you, but every time I come to these chapters, I realize how much Hollywood
0:49.4	has tried to influence our understanding of this period of history.
0:53.9	And while I'm sure there were some true cinematic qualities to these plagues, we often
0:59.0	forget that it wasn't about the plagues.
1:01.8	It was about our God who controlled each and every aspect of them.
1:06.8	So let's strip away what the movies have told us and remember what these plagues actually
1:12.9	teach us about God.
1:15.6	We enter Chapter 6 with a familiar complaint from Moses.
1:19.8	Once again, he tells the Lord he is a poor speaker when God asks him to go to Pharaoh.
1:25.6	But in Chapter 7, I love how God doesn't even address Moses' complaint and just tells
1:30.9	Moses the plan.
1:32.7	And in verse 1, the Lord makes an interesting statement.
