0:31.1	Today, we continue our conversation from yesterday as Israel stands before the Lord at the base
0:37.8	of Mount Sinai and receives the law.
0:41.1	As we mentioned yesterday, Exodus 19 through 24 is known as the Sinai or Mosaic covenant
0:46.7	chapters.
0:48.2	In these chapters, God gives the nation the Ten Commandments, as well as other governing
0:53.4	laws that will set them apart from other nations.
0:56.8	But these laws are more than rules to follow.
0:59.9	They are also meant to teach the people obedience and how to be holy as God is holy.
1:05.8	They are meant to reflect our holy God to the pagan nations around them.
1:10.6	But these laws also remind us that we are covenant-breakers and God is a perfect covenant
1:16.4	keeper.
1:17.6	He sent his perfect covenant-fulfilling son to make us right before him.
