Yes, we are here and I'm not going to mention this every episode, but I am the vice mayor of Stockton.

Just would like to say that.

Feels good to be at work though.

You know, everybody back in Stockton where I live now, my hometown,

people always used to say when I was on the campaign show,

how are you going to do this when you work in L.A.?

Let me make this simple for you.

And this is interesting in how politics create these narratives.

There's a lot of you who live in Stockton and have to commute to San Francisco. That's an hour and a half one way every day.

My commute is only 45 minutes. I mean, so when you put it in the grand scheme of things,

it is what it is. But I'm so excited to be here. You all were at the swearing-in. Did you enjoy it?

What? It felt so cool to see the whole room just celebrating you and all of our hard work and your hard work

and our hard work.

Well, no, our hard work because I didn't do it alone.

I think, listen, I think everybody, my seven-year-old campaign manager, my team, all my volunteers,

the donors.

Everybody, you know, we spend a lot of money, we spend a lot of time.

I'm not going to bore you with all the details.

Why? Because I actually have my speech right here, take a look.

The seven-year-old got it right.
