Hey there, you know that here at the Tim Hawkins podcast, we try to make it as easy on the

listener as possible.

We want to make it simple and the older I get, I find the simple pleasures to be the best

because life is made up of really few big events, but millions of the small, seemingly

insignificant ones.

And there's just so much more meaning and feeling tucked inside the simple stuff that

we've experienced in the scope of our lives really, the taste of a corn dog or sitting

in a warm car at the end of a cold walk.

It was a kid that the sound of my mom on a typewriter or the smell of old spice on my

father's shirt.

You know, one of the benefits of learning to live in the moment is that you get a deeper

appreciation of the beauty and the small events.

And I feel that my sense of humor is changing in that what some might call a regression

back to middle school.

I see it more as a deeper joy in just silliness.

You know, we were built to enjoy a little bit of silly, a little pull towards play.

It's like the older I get, dad jokes make me laugh harder.

You know, dad jokes, they're like, what did the plates say to the silverware?

Dinner's on me.

Why did the banana call and sick?

It didn't peel well.

What did the wall say to the ceiling?
