My guest today is my friend Addison Bavir, who is the COO of Messenger International

and Ministry founded by John and Lisa Bavir, way back in 1990. Addison is the author of a couple

books. The first one is called Saints and the second one, which just released just a few weeks ago,

is called Words with God, Trading, Boring, Empty Prayer for Real Connection. It's a book on prayer,

and I don't know too many people better to talk about prayer than Addison Bavir, not because he,

in his own words, is not a master of prayer, but because he is not a master of prayer, and he

has had to learn through discipline and prayer and research and connected to other people on how

to be more engaged with prayer. So this is a really raw open on his conversation about prayer

with the one and only Addison Bavir. So I think you're really going to enjoy this conversation.

Addison, how are you doing on this lovely morning of your book launch? It's always a stressful,

exciting time. You know what? Actually, it's been really good this morning, surprisingly.

Like, I've been at, I've been at peace. I got up super early this morning and I woke up and

just present to what's happening today, which is a gift because I'm not always like that.

And I had an early morning interview this morning and I, it's just been good, man.

It's been a good pace. And I knew I was going to get the chat with you.

That's something to look forward to when you wake up in the morning.
